News & Reports

This is where we post our picture of the month, fishing and hunting reports and anything new coming up.  Last updated on 11/20/11.
John with a nice November prize.

 Fishing Report:

SACRAMENTO RIVER SALMON:   Salmon Fishing was as good as it ever was from mid-August to the 1st week of October, then it shut down.(which is fine because they need to spawn and the season should close in October anyway) Hopefully next year will be just as good.

SHAD:  Cold, wet, late spring- early summer. Crappy shad fishing. Maybe next year. Mid may to mid june.

STRIPER: Same as shad. Maybe next year.

     HUNTING REPORT:

Wild Pigs:  It's time to go. Booking now. Pigs are putting on their winter fat. Not much of an acorn crop but the pigs are surviving.

Wild Turkeys: We did just a couple of fall hunts and they were good.  Noticed a big variation in the size of this years young. Should be good for the spring season.

Doves: After a cold snap ruined the 2010 season, the 2011 season was incredible. 14 hunters all limiting out.
